Sean Gaines
As the topic says, In addition what are you using for the guts, factory para springs, basepad, follower??????
BN91205
Using factory springs, factory follower, and a DP basepad, I'm getting 20 into the mag without any problems so far. Para's are the only widebodies I own and have done some extensive research to get them they way I want. B Edited May 24, 2009 by BN91205
bbbean
20 loadable, 21 if the steroids are kickin' in.
ken hebert
21 functions fine in most all of mine (think I have 11). Para springs and follower and a Dawson +5 pad. When I still used that gun I reloaded on a 20 mag though, seated easier. With the Para springs from Brownells I seem to remember clipping a coil, maybe? Left loaded for a few days and back up to 21. Flexmoney
I know guys were running them with 21+1. I'd look it up...
wide45
There are a few threads on this. A few years back Para redesigned their springs, and they became unreliable. Is Para now selling good springs?
mike4045
I used to easily get 20+1. A couple could fot 21+1, but were unreliable. ISMI springs and factory followers with Grams pads.
ryan45kim
All my Para P16 magazines hold 21 rounds but I run them with 20 rounds 99% of the time. I have one that is a hair away from 22, but it runs great now and I’m not messing with it. The standard setup in limited is Para tubes, Para followers, Dawson base pads. I use to run Para springs but Para changed the design and they are not reliable anymore (at least for me). The new Para springs have a small coil on them the old ones don’t have this reduced coil. I have used both Wolf and ISMI springs, they both worked well.
jasmap
A buddy of mine has a few 21 round mags that all function perfectly in his Para.
Keninaz
With Dawson basepads I can get 20 rounds (reloadable) in a mag, plus one in the pipe. Kendall Edited May 25, 2009 by Keninaz
Thomas a44592
I have two with Grams basepad -Para body - Wolf springs - and Para follower that is trimed on the bottom rear that hold 21. I have three with Dawson pad- Para body- Wolf spring and para followers- again the factory follower needs trimmed on the bottom rear and they hold 20 and are all reliable. I did not have too good of luck with the Arridondo - The plastic inserts that held the pad on would get folded down into the spring. I use the Wolf +10% springs that are oversize and trim to 12 coils I think. The factory followers I got from Brownells looked a little different than some of the older ones I had. They needed trimmed down almost flush- in the back- the part that sticks down. They are soft and I just used some sandpaper
ShooterSteve
Like others, I can get 20+1 and they are reloadable. I have one that will go 21, but it is tight, to the point that I start with it and load it with the slide locked back. I'm running Dawson pads, with para followers. I have replaced the springs, and I know they aren't factory, but I forget who they were by, and they are two stories up, so it will go unknown for now. kevin c
All of my stock para tubes with Wolff springs and GE basepads and followers got an easily reloadable 21 in the mag + 1 up the pipe.
Sean Gaines
ok, it seems everyone is at least getting 20 plus1 I was just wondering, because I heard paras held alot more than 20 or

Jammer1911
All Mine are Factory Para Bodies, springs and followers with Dawson Bases. I reliably get 21 in each but only load my starter tube to that. the rest I load to 20 for reloadability. The way most long courses are you have to reload at least once anyway why muscle the mag change if you don't need to.
