wmounts
Does anyone have a method to test the firing pin in a Remington 1100 (without live firing)? Factory loads didn't fire (and no firing pin mark on primers), but at home, the snap caps get a firing pin mark. Any ideas?
warpspeed
I've used shells with primer only to verify everything works. It is loud and would not recommend in area where neighbors might get pissed but will tell you if the problem is fixed.
wmounts
I had thought about that, but the neighbors probably would get their knickers in a twist... I know for sure that one set is very anti-gun. Any other ideas?
EkuJustice
Dowel rod down the barrel. The firing pin will hit it forward when it goes off. Otherwise primer only in the basemant. Its a pop but really isnt that loud

Bobby_Mac
Thanks! I'll try the dowel this evening. Put a dime on top of the bolt and pull the trigger.....
