GentlemanJim
What is that way out on the comp? is it a dot? a buddy -Nameless put a dot scope on his comp and the heat killed the scope. But he practices kind of crazy Its a flip up sight Not sure if I will use an optic at this point. I got this gun from RandR..as an incomplete in the white and it was most likely just peachie as it was Robert was very nice to me And I like the parts he builds But me being me it seemed that I was compelled to more or less start from scratch...Im just kinda crazy it seems So I built my own stock adapter to put the stock where it worked best for me. It gives me the proper cheek weld in the sight plane, and puts the stock up on bore center...plus a little And of course I needed a hand guard that fit me and had the LOOK that I wanted And I wanted to beef up the rear trunion..as it takes a beating The Saiga recoil system has some real sloppy parts in it..so I built my own. I had an idea for a dynamic recoil reducer...so I built it, its in the buffer tube. Cut back the ACE stock and buffer tube 2.1" Wanted to play with the gas porting...so I welded up the ports and redesigned them for less crap going into the gas block One thing led to another so I reworked the barrel ports as well The safety is a million times better than an ak safety....what it is not, is an AR type safety...so I am working on that I was going to make an HK style charging system on the left side handguard...but It seems just relocating the charging handle to the left side will be good enough. Having seen op rods from Galill rifles..I am making a new one that aligns the bolt carrier and is a little more stable. The saiga gas plug (adjuster) just plain sucks...I am building a new one with three settings using real ports not just an angled cut Its kinda like a three position barrel valve from a hilborn fuel injection It will also have a Cat tail for uber quick resets. I have Roberts current mag well...and have ordered Jack Travers newest well. But in retrospect I think I will build one that allows true direct insertion without magazine mods I have both Alex Wakels comps and two JP comps(borrowed from other guns...dont tell Nanci) Testing all combinations of comps...I find they do in fact work pretty well..the JP comps are sleeker, both perform well. I come to realize, sittin here with my eyes PINNED open Drank WAY WAY TOO much fresh brewed ice tea Cant sleep...back to the shop Jim

I don't know what else I have to trade, but my wife IS pregnant. 1st borns have to be worth something these days. Seriously you should add Saigas to the line of guns you make from scratch.
