JP LMOS buffer

I just bought a used JP upper off another forum member.

It has a JP stainless LMOS bolt carrier. Apparently JP recommends using their LMOS buffer with this.

So the lower the upper is going on has a rifle length tube with whatever buffer and spring came with it (it's a colt).

So I need a different buffer, or will the one I have now work?

What if I want to put it on a lower with a carbine length tube, spring, buffer? Thanks for the help.

Another option is to open up the current buffer you have and take out some weight.

ya, talk to hoser about this. He probably has a 100% answer.

If I recall from another thread, you can take some weight out of your current buffer and replace it with a plastic spacer and it works the same as a low mass buffer.

FYI if you have a carbine tube a carbine buffer is the same weight as JP's lo mass buffer. I run a Vltor EMOD on my gun and just use a standard car buffer.

I use mine in a CAR stock and lightened my buffer making is 1.8oz instead of 3.0oz using Delrin to replace some of the weights.
