Steph
I have the option of buying an M2, just curious about barrel length. I'm debating on a 21" or 24". Which one and why? Thanks
Brian Payne
Steph, Since you load weak hand, I would have to advise the 21" if you can find one. The shotgun will be much lighter than the 1100 you use now, but you won't have the pistol grip stock to help you hold it up (at least I "hope" you aren't getting the tactical version w/pistol grip). You have already shot Tyler's 26" Benelli, the 21" will be quicker handling and easier to keep up for loading. kurtm
I can't tell much difference between a 21" barrel and a 24" barrel, I guess if it were the same price I would go with a 21", but if you ever decide to shoot over seas a 24" lets you into more countries. busyhawk
21 inch for the same reasons as the others have chimed in for. Another positive for the 21 is for the shorter/ness of the gun overall. There are a lot of small ports/positions to get into and a 21 will help. I have a 18, 21 and 24 for different sports/situations and I believe the 21 is a good compromise/all round length. Oh, and another big plus is...if you don't like the 21 inch you can trade it for a 24 inch and cash almost any day of the week!:-) Hope this helps, Scott

KurtM + 1 I think I actually like shooting the 24 in barrel slightly more but it's slightly more difficult to deal with around barricades etc. I'd go with a 21 but it won't make it any real difference. bigbrowndog
I used a 24" barrel with a +6 extension which stuck out about an 1.5" in front of the muzzle, at the last BRM3G, and had no problem inside the SG tunnel, with the little ports. Essentially it is equal to a 26" barreled SG. Either way 20" to 24" will do just fine. trapr
