DougCarden
If you want a good bowling pin load of 195PF ( minimum) or more you wont get there with CLAYS, ever......<think kaboom> Try 5.0 of Tightgroup, 6.0grains of Unique, and see how they take the pins...... Good luck, DougC
joecichlid
I usually run a 200 grain bullet on top of 8.0-8.1 grains of Longshot myself. A good bullet in either a flat point or hollow point design would be perfect. Joe W.
outerlimits
back in the day it was 6.1 of ww231 with a 285gr speer hp...brutal load, but effective.
chizzle
going to be using clays and 230 FMJ.Any advice on a starting point? thanks I use a 230 grain Rainier hollow point, on top of 8.9 grains of AA #5. I've also loaded similarly hot loads using Blue Dot. This equates to about 215 power factor. I use this in my bull barrelled STI. This effectively takes the pins off the table, even if they get a little heavy. Please make sure that your gun can handle these hot loads, as I don't want anybody to get hurt. Sincerely, Chuck
