Guest George W.
I have a Springfield 1911 Loaded that I had a Brazos Lightning Rod fiber optic sight installed on. I love the sight but after 300 rounds or so it loosened up and wiggles back and forth probably a 64th of an inch. It's not too loose to come out but I sure don't know what 300 more rounds might do for it. I figure any movement is too much. Before I take it back to the installer I wanted to verify that the correct dovetail was installed on it. Does anyone know what the dovetail dimensions for the Springfield 1911 Loaded are? The sight is 65 deg x .330 x .075. Is that the right one? Thanks for your input. 2 Days later: Well today I fixed it. I drilled a 1/16 hole in the sight that matched up with the hole in the slide from the stock sight and put a 1/16th roll pin in it. Now its tight and I'm sure it won't come loose......
