Rocket35
Well just got a new GPS setup in the car. Pretty cool gadget. I never thought I would use one. But this thing is handier than pockets in your underwear!
gamingoddess
Didn't get a portable car GPS until I started shooting (I don't have much sense of direction)...now I'm just plain spoiled. If it's an address I don't recognize, (even if it's only 5 minutes away) in comes the handy GPS!
HSMITH
See if you can get a Garmin windshield mount to work with it or trade it on a Garmin. I have used both and the Garmin mount is leaps and bounds better, and it is a bit friendlier to use with a couple more bells and whistles at comparable prices. larry cazes
Had a Magellan for more than a year now and love it. No issues with the windshield mount at all.
Rocket35
Windshield mount is rock solid so far...cleaned surface as recommended and the suction cup stay put when you throw that lever.
islandtime
Don't leave it on the windshield when not in use...it wont say there long. I've never been able to figure out why crackheads with no car need a GPS so badly..

I've never been able to figure out why crackheads with no car need a GPS so badly.. Hahaha, a couple of months ago I had come back from a match and stuffed my GPS in my glove compartment so you could technically see the suction cup device and the wire leading to the compartment. Kinda forgot after my activities to put it back in the house. Lo and behold the next day I was having difficulty entering the driver door...then realized the handle had been ripped off. Thought it was from troublesome kids, reported it to the police, and they explained that they were actually trying to break into my car (probably because of the GPS system). It's cheap as hell too...but to them I guess it's gold.
Rocket35
Good advice. I thought of that also and disconnected it and stowed it in a compartment in my console. I wonder if I should do the same with the suction cup window holder?!
larry cazes
Yes, stow everything when you park. I am betting that the round mark left by the windshield mount is enough justification for most thieves.
