I am excited to announce that Frank at “The Range”, which is located at 5027 Hancock Road, Oxford, NC, will be hosting the Fall NC Local NRA TPC (Tactical Police Competition). This event will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2009. For more information about this event please contact Charles Sole at solejr@gmail.com or you can go to http://bellsouthpwp2.net/a/g/ag9427/ (this is the URL for the June match but it has a FAQ link for information about the NRA TPC. This site will soon be updated with information concerning the Fall NC Local NRA TPC.

The NRA Law Enforcement Activities Division has created a new and dynamic multi-gun competition for police, military, and private sector law enforcement personnel (this match is restricted to active or retired military, law enforcement, private sector security as well as law enforcement firearms instructors). NO COMPETITIVE SHOOTING EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY. Your ability will be tested using duty firearms and gear as you face hypothetical firearms engagements. This program is designed for patrol officers, military personnel, tactical officers, investigators and instructors using standard duty gear. All you need is your duty handgun & holster, magazines, duty shotgun, patrol rifle or carbine, ammunition, and a desire to have fun. Don’t have a Patrol Rifle or Shotgun? We will have one you can use. Just bring your own ammunition.

If you have had the opportunity to shoot at “The Range” you know how awesome the matches are. If you have not enjoyed the experience of a match at “The Range” I assure you that you will walk away in awe. “The Range” has a large inventory of target configuration, from swinger, mover and steel. There is also a bunch is props to include actual vehicles that will test your skill shooting from, into and around real vehicles. This match will not only be competitive but more important a helpful training experience.
