lugnut
I had chrono'd some loads with some Berrys 180gr FP plated bullets: *G35 15lb recoil, 180gr Berrys Plated, 5.0g W231, WSP Primers, 1.130" COL, 45 degrees, 2/28/2009 168.5 Ave PF *G35 15lb recoil, 180gr Berrys Plated, 5.2g W231, WSP Primers, 1.130" COL, 45 degrees, 2/28/2009 172.98 Ave PF *G35 15lb recoil, 180gr Berrys Plated, 5.4g W231, WSP Primers, 1.130" COL, 45 degrees, 2/28/2009 174.96 Ave PF And today tested this load below (5.1g W231) with the same gun with Rainier (plated like Berrys but RSFP): *G35 15lb recoil, 180gr Rainier Plated, 5.1g W231, WSP Primers, 1.130" COL, 50 degrees, 4/23/2009 163.98 Ave PF!!! This load is about 5 PF below with .1gr more powder. I figured it would at least be 168PF. I must say I'm surprised. I chrono'd some other .40 loads with Power Pistol and they are spot on with my previous chrono result with same loads as before so it's not the chrono! MoNsTeR
How many rounds did you measure? Could easily be pure sampling error.
Silver_Surfer
When you stated "And Today" I'm guessing that it was another day? Temps could have been diferent?

lugnut
How many rounds did you measure? Could easily be pure sampling error. I tested 2 sets of 10 rounds. Each set of 10 was almost identical averages, Sd, Es
joecichlid
I have tried both and have a possible suspect in this case. Check the bullet diameter. For the batches I check the Rainiers were undersized a touch. Just a thought. Joe W.
