Burglars flee amid hail of bullets!

Pretty cool. Another case though of where "I have nothing to say without my lawyer present" would have been more appropriate.

""I thought, 'Someone is robbing my house and I'm not going to let this happen,' " Gallegos said. "I work hard for my stuff." "

And, what is up with this guy? Instead of hoping that burglars stop, he hopes that when they do break into houses they don't get hurt?

"Still, Garcia worried that the increasing number of burglaries in the Santa Fe area could lead to future injuries.

"It could be that people are getting fed up with their houses being broken into," he said. "Hopefully no one will get hurt." "

I've met Garcia a couple of times and he seems like a no-nonsense guy....not soft on criminals at all. Based on that, I think he meant he hopes no good guys will get hurt. We've seen an increase in the number of break ins in the last year or so and to date nobody has been hurt. Granted, it's hard to tell from the quote, but that's the way I read it. He's right though, they were two lucky robbers....44Mag is pretty serious no matter what it's loaded with! R,

Pretty scary

It could have been a very different outcome...but the paper work would be a real pain.

Good to see people stand up and say NO!!

Jim

Especially since it was only a mile from my home :angry2:

no, you better not use your nice open gun...otherwise you won't be seeing it again for a long long time. best off using something that's not quite as expensive nor will be missed as much. a 12-guage would have worked nicely - but her 44 seemed to do the trick.

Heck no, that's what Uncle Sammy's guns are for!
