38supPat
Shot some really good groups on Sat. but every one had a flier that opened it up. Three groups in a row had 4 shots into .24, .31 and.22 but the fliers opened them up to .81, .62 and .67 All were called shots, usually I let the shots break (on the fliers) right about the end of my breathing pause, another instant and I would have stopped pulling the trigger and waited for the next pause. Given that the rifle is a stock Rem. 700 PSS and the loads were done on a Dillon 550, I'm fairly happy.

AlamoShooter
This is close to the same problem I am having = early in my learning curve. My trigger just got improved and I am trying to place my best group shooting while I work up a powder and bullet that the gun likes. The gun has only had two shots from it taken less than 200 yards away. late this afternoon with harsh shadows I had my first three shots in one nice hole at 200 yards. I got excited for sure confirming what I could see in my Vortex scope . the forth shot broke just a whisker out of the first three doubling the group size to 5/16" I guess the only thing I could have done was run around the table a few times, but I got back into the gun and try-ed my best, but I hung on the trigger and hung until I saw the shot break low left a full 1" away. This has plagued me on most of my shooting , it seams like this is one consistency for me is pulling off my last shot. shot 1 -2 & 3 are all in the same small hole Edited December 31, 2011 by AlamoShooter
JKSNIPER
Your .627 group I would say was due to not reacquiring your NPOA after each shot. Recoil pushes the shooter out of position slightly and then instead of reacquiring NPOA most guys "muscle " the weapon back into position causing the horizontal drift you see on the target. Bottom right hand corner could be from chasing the bullseye. Looking at the target to see where you're hitting instead of the + . Lower the power down from 10X to 3X so you can't see the impacts and see what happens.
