eerw
Was in church yesterday and two men in the congregation had just returned home from Iraq, one young man with wife and child, the other a chaplain. when introduced..the place lit up with applause, hugs, handshakes and thank yous. Nice to welcome these men home for their duty and sacrifice.

SA Friday
I glad they're back. It's a good feeling to finally get home, but can be overwhelming at times.

That's awesome! I'm in a unit that comes and goes hush hush like and we never see anyone. We just go and then we come back. Sometimes I think it would be kind of nice to have one of those big welcome home things I see every once and a while, but then I just think about how nice it is to be back on US soil. Glad they're back! They deserve all the appluase/hug/handshakes/etc. Tell them I said thanks for their service/sacrifice. --Lanzo Edited April 20, 2009 by Lanzo

Well I'd be honored to shake you hand and welcome back anytime anywhere.. Thank you. Appreciate that...thanks. The honor would be mine. I just do a job though, same as everyone else. There are much more deserving out there than myself. I especially respect the men that leave their families. When I go, I just have to worry about myself. I couldn't fathom leaving a child/wife behind. Good shooting! --Lanzo Edited April 20, 2009 by Lanzo
