mike_pinto
http://www.newsok.com/edmond-restricts-rea...article/3361348 So while I am practicing in my backyard, I could get a fine.. I agree with the big fine, but in possession is $244? Wonder what is next...

I agree with the big fine, but in possession is $244? Wonder what is next... Here's what cracks me up Mike. Are they going to treat someone differently that is waving around a gun-like object just because it has orange paint on the front? Of course not. They are going to treat every gun-like object like it is a real gun simply because they cannot afford not to. Dumb laws....
Jim Norman
Criminals, there is a leeson to be learned here. Dip the muzzles of your guns into a bucket of Orange paint. That way the police will simply ignore you. Hey, if you break in and make the mistake of waking me up, I know I will be checking to see if your gun has an orange muzzle before I decide on my response. Yup, you have been declared a non-threat because of the color of the muzzle on your gun. Jim
DougCarden
Trust me Jim.... They all still get a face full of real .40 when they have these "fake" guns. I brought my STI like airsoft into the office and no one at 5ft could tell the difference, hence if they are carried like they are real, they are real until we take them off of the nice ciminal in my parts..... mike_pinto
That is kind of my point. I would never shoot my Airsoft in practice in the front yard, but the phrase "in posession" is what scares me a bit. It is a good thing I know most of the local cops and shoot with them, but I don't think an orange front of a gun is going to make them feel any better about it being pointed at them. Like Jim said, should the orange tip make the police at ease? I hope not for their sake.. Just my $.
No.343
I hope this reduces the number of front yard ornament vandalisms in your neighborhood.
