Mister
Hello, I know what a Texas Star is. But I can not find any plans how to build one. I want to know how the five target plates are attached to the rotating star, so that they are held by the star when turning and fall off when they are hit. The_Vigilante
They are held by springs. I couldn't find any plans either-apparently the inventor(s) want to protect their investment. However, if you get a chance to look at one in person, you should be able to build one-helps to have welding skills I'm sure. Jay870
Two holes in the base of the plate that mate to two small pins on the "arm" of the star. A spring loaded lever applies pressure the the back of the plate, holding it on the pins. Bullet strike drives the plate back, causes the lever to pivot back, allowing the plate to fall off the pins. -JQ-
You also still have to call it a Texas Star...even if you use it in Austria... Edited April 15, 2009 by hk_mtbr
