ExtremeShot
I hate it when coffee doesn't do it's job. 4 cups later and I'm still falling asleep.

Ooooohhhhhh..... if that's what happened, that should be at least a jailable offense... if not a capital crime! You just don't do that to a man in need of his crack... uh, I mean, caffeine
shooter757
I had the same issue. I detoxed from coffee, went back to coffee but only drank half as much. Also, piracetam works.

ExtremeShot
Someone probably made decaf. Some people don't comprehend what coffee is for. Naw, can't be that since I'm the one that made the coffee. ....I get a lot of crap from the coworkers because I bring in whole beans and grind my coffee every morning, then I use filtered water, and for the finale I brew my joe in a double lined stainless french press. Ahhhh.......

Ahhhh....... Oh my! A civilized person among the heathens I endured a bit of teasing at the recent LaRue Tactical 3 Gun match. I paid extra for a second suitcase with the airline, so that I could take my own coffee pot, coffee carafe (3 liters - solid stainless steel) and my own freshly ground dark roast coffee. Heaven knows. I cannot drink the coffee at most hotels and I was able to take a full carafe to the range each morning. I also forgot to mention that I only use FRESH beans that I buy from a local roaster (the roaster is actually within walking distance from my house - yippee!). I'm currently drinking "Brazil Mogiana". If you haven't tried a french press you should. It is pretty compact and may be easier to carry with you. Here is the one I have: Bodum French Press Here are some other presses from Bodum Darren
lmccrock
Many years ago I went on a canoe trip with a big group and the guy buying groceries was not a coffee drinker and he got decaf. Not out of spite or cruelty, just ignorance. On the river, I saw the coffee and resolved to supply my own in all future endeavors, or at least know where to go. So for travel, I find a coffee joint or bring my own. At work, I have learned some people like really weak coffee and it looks like weak tea. I often dump out the office stuff and make my own. I'm currently drinking "Brazil Mogiana". If you haven't tried a french press you should. It is pretty compact and may be easier to carry with you. Here is the one I have: Bodum French Press Here are some other presses from Bodum Darren The large carafe is because of limited ability to heat water at some ranges, and the fact that I typically get to the range at 6AM or earlier, and leave after 7 pm or 8 pm. When I used regular airpot style carafes, someone would knock it over and break the glass liner. I never need to worry about that with the carafe I have now. I can fill it up and it stays hot for the entire day. I use a French Press when I am at home, and have the luxury of making small volume. I have a French press at home (from Bodum), but it is glass and does not travel well. I also have a wonderful grinder from Bodum that has 16 grind settings (from coarse for French press to fine for expresso ). Google Gorilla Coffee. They are a small batch roaster in Brooklyn NY. After I discovered them a few years ago (a gift from a fellow shooter), I regularly order from them. It says on each bag "Our coffee is NOT WIMPY." All their coffee is dark roasted. Just got a delivery of Nicaraguan Segovia from them yesterday. Their offerings change frequently. Linda Chico (L-2035) Columbia SC
Jim Norman
Coffee, Strong, black, caffeinated, no sugar. Funny thing, a taste test was recently done and the winner was..... 8'o'Clock brand coffee. It beat out all the others. Personally I have never understood how Starbucks made it. Burnt beans @ 3x the going price. I just wish that I was the advertising/marketing genius that put that together. Gee we burned the coffee beans. Don't throw them out, call it double roast and double the price. people will think that it must be good. and they did. kurtm
Now I doubt that Coffee is "food". I don't think it has any calories so while it can be considered a "drink of the Gods", it can't be the "food" of the Gods....Now Beer isn't called liquid bread for nothing and it can be called the "food of the Gods". I make my own and don't need anything from France to do so.....BUT you can't drink it at the range while shooting and it is probably bad form to brew a batch at work....... unless you happen to work at a brewery. JimmyZip
Before my ticker became coffee intolerant, I worked with a group of coffeee snobs. One of them, the boss, was a person who NEVER needed a second cup. He would get all amped up and trippy because all he would have until around 2 in the afternoon was very strong coffee and cigarettes. After dealing with his erratic behavior for a year and a half, a co-worker and I changed his coffee to decaf. It changed his behavior drastically! He became better focused and calmer. He found out and was really POd. Sad thing is I work for him again and he is once again a jittery, amped up person who is hard to deal with. Now if they only made coffee with valium.....
