WCC is military crimped, I get that. I bought some factory reload stuff last year that included quite a bit of WCC brass. Once I shoot it can I reload it on my 550 without worrying about the crimp? Do commercial reloaders have to get the crimp out? If so the crimp should be gone right?

Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance

Kevin

I'm assuming you are talking about 9mm brass which is typically the most common pickup brass at firing ranges. I personally don't think FC and WCC is worth the bother. I've had a primer go off in my press trying to prime an FC brass. I dump them in my junck brass bucket to be sold to a brass dealer once the price rises.

Yes......if the crimp was removed from a commercial reloader it is fine to reload again....and again....and again......and....well you get it. WCC is good brass. Very thick web.

That is what I figured thanks bullit.

WCC

Okay I am a rookie. What does WCC stand for?

Western Cartridge Company....they bought Winchester after Win went bankrupt in the 1920s. WCC is Olin's headstamp for military/police ammo now and they use "Win" for commercial ammo. The short answer....consider it Winchester.
