entropic
Hi, I'm brand new to the forum, and am glad to have found a place full of competitive shooters online. I normally shoot single stack but want to get into production. After holding lots of different production guns, the cz75 seems to be for me. My question is which one to choose. There is an SP-01 custom: cz75 sp01 custom But is it worth the extra money ($1000) over the standard SP01? Seems the only difference is a nice (and hopefully damn nice for the extra $400) trigger. Your input would be appreciated. Dave Edited April 3, 2009 by entropic
AlamoShooter
I paid $300 for mine, but its plain
Cy Soto
The SP-01 Custom that Angus sells is a great shooter and worth every penny over the stock pistol but, if you can afford the extra $200 over the price of the Custom, get the Shadow Custom. It's true that they are expensive but, you will understand why after you have shot one.

The gun has always been illegal for IPSC Production. You might want to look at the SP-01 Shadow. It is very popular in IPSC and is the winningest pistol right now world wide in IPSC Production. There are minor differences in the frames of the SP-01 and the SP-01 Shadow. I have both and there is no comparison between the Shadows trigger pull and the SP-01 as they come from the factory. The SP-01 comes with a firing pin block while the Shadow does not. The Shadow weighs more as well. The SP-01 Custom is USPSA Production legal. You just can't remove the firing pin block.
