Installing front sight on 1911

Is there a certain side to take the current front sight out

and....is there a certain side to install the new front sight?

I have a kimber 45 and am taking out the tritium front sight. I am installing a new Brazos lightning rod fiber optic front sight.

Do I take the old sight from left to right? by looking down the gun sights

and do I install the new one on the right side and push left?
