SVI Competition Rear Sight - Experiences?

Does anyone have any experience with the SVI Competition (or similarly modified) Rear Sight? I've seen a few pistols setup with this type of sight in pics and one in person. I really liked the sight picture but did not have a chance to run the gun.

I'm looking for actual feedback from someone that has shot one. No "I think it would...." opinions or thoughts please I have enough of those myself :goof:

A pic for the reading impaired...

I don't like the "bunny ears" I like a tapered sided rear sight better. Looks sturdy though.

Yeah... I broke down and threw the SS in the Mill last night. It's now got a modified version of this cut on it for me to play with. I figure I'd cut up a $55 sight to test before buying the $130 one :)

I have shot the rabbit ear type sight for several years. I try to go back to the regular sight only to return to the rabbit. When dawson came out with the fibre rear sight I made the jump again, it lasted maybe 3 months and I am back to the rabbit again. I guess I am one of those that will just never be happy with the regular bomar rear and will always shoot the rabbit ears. I have tried recently the sight with the corners take off to a gentle slope(kinda of like a dutch house) but I havent made my mind if I like it or not.
