sniperdog
I have a question on how to best shoot this stage: Scoring : Fixed Time Targets : 3 IPSC T1, T2, T3 Stage Procedure: String 1: 2 shots per target freestyle through port in 3.5 seconds String 2: 2 shots per target STRONG hand only around one side of barricade 3.5 seconds String 3: 2 shots per target WEAK hand only around other side of barricade 3.5 seconds My questions is: Can I shoot 6 shots at T2 in first string, 6 shots at T3 in second string, and 6 shots at T1 in third string with the COF as stated above ? MY thinking since it does not say engage T1, T2 T3 with ONLY 2 shots each am I still within the defination of the COF?
ofcrfs242
I would say no as it says "two shots per target" signifying that in that string you must shoot two shots at each target.
Fireant
misread the question. Edited March 18, 2009 by Fireant
VegasOPM
That sounds like a plan to log a bunch of procedurals to me. Also, Comstock or Virginia count? Does it say "no stacking of shots"? Edited March 18, 2009 by VegasOPM
Flexmoney
9.4.5 In a Virginia Count Course of Fire or a Fixed Time Course of Fire: 9.4.5.3 Stacked shots (i.e. obviously shooting more than the required rounds on a target(s) while shooting other target(s) with fewer shots than specified in any string), will incur one procedural penalty per target insufficiently engaged in any string. AlamoShooter
I take an exception to calling that "Gaming a Stage" Gaming a stage does not mean going against the stage requirement. Gaming that stage would be to shoot Left to right when you shoot left hand and Right to left when you shoot right hand. and possibly to shift so that on through the window your body is in position to line up on the draw to the first target. Gaming is not supposed to be a bad word
XRe
9.4.5 In a Virginia Count Course of Fire or a Fixed Time Course of Fire:9.4.5.3 Stacked shots (i.e. obviously shooting more than the required rounds on a target(s) while shooting other target(s) with fewer shots than specified in any string), will incur one procedural penalty per target insufficiently engaged in any string. You left out the last sentence.... which completes the answer: " This penalty will not be applied if the written stage briefing specifically authorizes stacked shots." In other words, on VC and Fixed Time stages, you cannot stack unless the WSB says you can.
