SKR
Just weighed it a little bit ago. 41 7/8 oz complete. It is a 5 inch long dust cover. Broke it down- slide w/firing pin and extractor, 10.5 oz. Schuemann hybrid with comp 10 3/8 oz. Frame complete, magwell, single side mount and Doctor style red dot, 18 3/8 oz. I was just talking to Matt Cheely about shaving a few more oz's off. Would like to be in the 38 oz's. Hope that helps in some way.

Ron Ankeny
CAB33: If you don't mind, who made that blaster? I like. Haven't weighed mine, but it is a boat anchor. Matt McLearn made me a carbon copy of his "heavy and stable" open gun. I went that route to take it easy on the arthritis.

benny hill
Should weigh from 38oz to 42 oz.
G-ManBart
Should weigh from 38oz to 42 oz. Does that mean you think all Open guns should weigh between 38 and 42 oz or your personal gun should, but you haven't checked? Making a blanket statement that there is one proper weight range is a bit silly. I happen to know a world champion Open shooter who shoots an Open gun that's WAY heavier than 42oz...it's not even close to that.
benny hill
Just the ones that go out of my shop. Most shooters like light & fast handling guns. I can build boat anchors on request.
