JimWheeler
Hello, I am looking at these 2 powders to make major using a 180gr FMJ Montana Gold or Rainier bullet, in my Glock 35. I know everyone either uses Tightgroup or 320.... but seeing those are hard to find locally and my being impatient to order off the net, I have found that these 2 powders are always in stock at my local Gander Mnt. Feel free to offer your opinion about these powders
Jman
Pretty familiar with Longshot. Start with 5.4 grains with an OAL of 1.131". That should be getting close to major in your G35 and your pressure will be lower than SR4756. Visit Hodgdon's website for a bunch of load data. They have IMR and Winchester data too. HSMITH
Welcome to the best place on the internet!! Both suck for Limited major loads, a lot more recoil than is needed.

carter300
I agree that they bark a lillte too much, But...... Out of the loads that I shot that day, with the SR 4756. Best group was with 160 gr Magtech lead SWC (7.5 gr) @ 25 yards, second was Rainers 180 RN FP (6.3 gr) 1.135 OAL, out of SA XD-40 4 inch
Alan Meek
Jim, You should try to use faster powders than Longshot or 4756. Bullseye, Winchester Super Target, Hodgdon International Clay are more than likely in the range. Alan
