Paul Burtchell
Thanks Edward. Edward wanted a one of kind custom gun & did not want this gun for competition hence the full length frame. Benny did a great job for you, worth the wait, huh? Great looking blaster, Ed. Congrats Edited December 24, 2008 by baerburtchell
03k64
Very nice. I love the look of a slide without the front cocking serrations.
Aircooled6racer
Hello: I remember that one before it was built and when it was still in the white. It has a great slide to frame fit on both slides. I bet it shoots very well. Would be a great limited 10 pistol by just adding a S&A magwell. Thanks, Eric

I will eventually be adding a S & A Magwell, I just have to decide which one. I understand to its something I could do on my own and not that hard to install. It would be a kick butt L10 pistol.
Carloz
I love the way it looks, full dust cover frame with a unique slide just give it a awesome look!!! Congrats!!
warpspeed
I really like the 2 tone look. When I get my SS done, it will be just like that. Why 2 tops ? BTW, the S&A magwell usually needs to be blended this requiring refinishing. Might ask Benny what he'd recommend. Perhaps a Techwell.
Coolduckboy
Finally, someone posts a full dust cover SS. Looks Purty.

BTW, the S&A magwell usually needs to be blended this requiring refinishing. Might ask Benny what he'd recommend. Perhaps a Techwell. I chose the 2 slides in the case I ever decide to compete in divisions that don't allow a bull barrel with slide cuts. It is my understanding I would be legal with a 5 inch bushing barrel and no slide cuts. That would be the reason for the two slides. I also understand from talking with a gentleman whose opinion I trust highly a magwell necessarily doesn't have to be blended just won't be as smooth on the inside of the magwell. However I understood the magwell could be added without blending as mentioned blending would require a complete refinish on the frame. Dave Gundry
Beautiful 45! I love everything about the un-lightened setup - Perfect! Your assumptions are fairly correct on the magwells. If you add a Smith & Alexander, some blending really helps. However, a complete refinish is not entirely necessary - on a frequent shooter, you can just leave it in the white - it won't have much time to get rusty, and you'll constantly be dinging that area up anyway. That said, I run Techwell setups on my Single Stack, and found blending not to be necessary at all. The inside edges of the Techwell partially cover the 'beveled' frame a bit, so the frame is protected a little, and the angle of the magwell doesn't seem to drag/kink-up as bad as an un-blended S&A. You might be a bit concerned about balance though - I like the lighter weight of aluminum grips and magwell, but with a full length dustcover, it would maybe balance better with stainless steel MSH/magwell like the S&A, but it might be a bit too heavy overall then... EdwardJ
I feel that that the pistol is now complete. Again a thanks to everyone involved. Paul B for answering my questions and providing insight, Benny Hill for his quality work in building a superb pistol, John Harrison for the S&A Magwell blended to frame, and Hakan Pek for the hand crafted Olivewood smooth grips.
