I am going to start shooting three gun and need a cse to hold the shotgun and AR. I would like a soft case large pocket for each weapon and a smaller pocket for gear/ammo. I have looked high and low but have not been able to find a bag I like. I found a Blackhawk that is a back pack but its $200. What do all of you use? Any recomendations of bags that you have seen?

I'm using:

http://www.copquest.com/80-1400.htm

It's got one pocket for rifle/shotgun with a padded divider and one fairly large external pocket for handgun/gear as well as a smaller (but longer) external pocket.

I'm using a double rifle case by Blackhawk. Got mine from Cactus Tactical.

Here is what I am using.

Storm Case with Field Pack iM3220

You could probably just purchase one of the field pack cases without the hard case.

It is a hard case (I like this more than the Pelican cases-better latches) for when I want bullet proof (almost) security. Inside this there are two soft cases. Each can hold two long guns (up to 44") and accessories. When I travel locally, I just bring one of the field packs and put my AR/Shotgun in it and I'm good to go.

I also like it for when I fly to go bowhunting. Each soft case will hold a bow so I bring my primary hunting bow and my back up bow in the two soft cases that fit inside the hard case. When I get to where I hunt, I pull the soft case out that I need and take it with me an leave the hard case behind. It wasn't cheap, but it will survive anything and is very versatile for all of my needs (except for hunting with a rifle with a long barrel that can't break down).

Thanks for sharing that DMAC, I actually have an iM3200. Went through a lot of trouble building a foam cutter to fit both long guns on one foam. Got to look into the soft cases.

I use the 44" Blackhawk padded weapons case, which holds my pistol, shotgun and rifle - all in padded compartments. I like to carry all my weapons in one bag and carry the rest of the stuff in another because carrying everything in one bag would be too heavy and less organized. I wish they made one longer. My 8+1 shotgun barely fits in there.

Thanks for the great info.

How long is the bag that you might be selling uscbigdawg? I have a 18" barrel AR and 49" oal shotgun (need to get a shorter barrel for it). The pistol is a glock 17. Shoot me a pm if you would like to sell that case.

gose, I like the design of that case, its a little short for my shotgun. Does that case have any straps inside the pockets to secure the long guns? The price is not to bad.

Eric, I agreee that the guns need a bag and the ammo is in another bag. That is alot of weight.

Here's something that might fit your shotgun, not sure if you can fit in another rifle though. Price is good and if you get the 4-pack will come out to just $50 each.

Hey I like that bag only problem is I might not be able to get both guns in there if faced opposite directions maybe.
