carinab
http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation.htm The bill that is being pushed in 18 states requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacturer and a database of all ammunition sales will be created. In other words, how much you buy and which calibers you buy will be tracked. Included in the law is a provision that no one shall be able to sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded. Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011 (including handloaded ammo). They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more! This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington. Flexmoney
We've had a couple of these pop up recently...(we probably all get the same emails). I'm going to approve this one, in hopes that somebody will have some insight and HARD intel that we can add. (If you do, just post it as a new thread in this forum.) - Admin
