Gun Show Crime.

Yesterday my at the Nations Gunshow in Chantilly VA outside Washington DC, My wife was the victim of an attempted gun snatch, basically like a purse snatch. The perp tried to snatch her newly purchased 870 Remington out of her hands and run. Right at the entrance of the Gunshow. She was a women with two kids alone coming out holding a shotgun. Like a good law abiding citizen her carry gun was unloaded and a zip tie down the barrel per gunshow rules. Fortunately for us The wife is also a Marine and she pulled back and wound up for a buttstroke to the head series the perp realized he had bit off more than he could chew and beat feat across the parking lot. Thinking about it many times I have given kids or the wife a gun to carry in or out of the gunshow and the parking lots can be a zoo. We usually leave our carry guns in the car or unload at the car. Crooks seam to have figured this out. Please stay alert stay alive.

...that's freakin' unreal. Glad she had the situational awareness to be able to retain it. Too bad she didn't get the chance to give the perp. his due though....batter up!

Here in MA there are usually LEOs outside near the door and in various places thorughout the immediate parking areas. Still a reaction vs. proaction, but it's nice to know.

Unbelievable that the BGs are up to this now...

At SHOT a few years back there was a sudden total "traffic" jam at the exits.

Someone had gone up to the Para-Ord booth and snipped the cable fastening the weapon to the table and walked off with it.

Last place in the world you would think of criminals as wanting to be but there it is.
