Another 4.0 Quarter Down

I spent the day defending my clinical practicum findings and methods at WSU...the last task that I needed to put the lid on Fall Quarter 2008.

If I can snake out of student teaching (and I should be able to) my final quarter of my Masters program will be this winter. I am SO ready to get a job where I am paid over the summertime and have time to S H O O T! :)

I had a surreal moment today while I was going over my notes before the meeting: I have studied in the same corner of the same building for the duration of my program. It's nice and quiet, and I am right next to a huge window. During the spring I watched people plant new trees and flowers. Over the summer I longingly gazed into the outside world seeing everything in full bloom. In this fall term I noticed how each day brought more and more fireworks as the trees eventually gave up their sun-soaking leaves to the cold.

Today I laughed as snow covered everything in sight. It's amazing what one can witness vicariously from one position over time.

Very well said, nice observation. :)

I had a prof in grad school that told our class one day that he believed changes in one's environment stimulated the mind. He said that change of the seasons was important to developing a scientific mind.

He pointed out to us: How many great physicists came out of the tropics or the arctic?

It sounds like a cool experience. Good luck with your last quarter.
