Dennis Sherman
Just finished reading the Tactical Journal and for the first time since I started IDPA in 99, there is no listing for the S&W Winter Nationals. Is this a sign of the bad times we are in. Has anyone heard if its on for 09? I worked as an RO form 00-03 and was looking forward to going back to it again. Dennis Sherman
Craig, Thanks for the information. I do not meet the requirements as I have not shot a major match in the last year, there were none in NYS, which is a shame in and of itself. With demands from work (many shutdowns with a 7/12 schedule) and running a little local league, and the price of gas last summer, I just did not get out and shoot one out of state. Add to that, my shooting has fallen off quite a bit due to a lack of practice and I have no business entering a match of that level. Aside, I have very little time invested in indoor shooting to polish my low light/no light skill sets. I am sure those slots will fill in quickly and I suggest that anyone with an oppourtunity should shoot it. Its a different and interesting place to shoot indoor's on those historic back ranges. Also, it may be one of the only sports where you could be on a squad with some of the very best in the shooting sports.
