brando Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 (edited) I have been reading the posts on this website for the past few days and it appears that Benellis are the preferred shotgun. I need your advice on a possible shotgun purchase. I am looking to buy a Benelli M2 Field, 28" barrel, wood stock. The seller wants $750.00 for it and its in perfect condition as he only shot it once. The seller prefers his Beretta shotguns. Is this a good deal? Do I need the Comfortech stock? I plan to use to the shotgun for hunting and clays. I also plan to get another barrel for it for 3 gun shooting. My second choice is to purchase a Beretta Extrema 2 and third choice is a Browning Gold. I appreciate your advice as I am new to semi-auto shotguns. Edited November 20, 2008 by brando
Merlin Orr Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 The Comfortec stock is a lot less punishment IMO... Buy once - cry once. Get a M2 Field with the synthetic stock is my advise. You will save the additional $$ by not having to have your fillings in your teeth replaced,,,,as often.

It will be a few weeks before I get it in my hands and shoot it. I plan to compete in 3 gun competitions next year.
DMAC Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I hope its good choice because I bought the SLP too, but I haven't shot it yet.
ken hebert Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 FN SLP same as Winchester SX2 practical, which I have. Been shooting it for over a year now, absolutely no complaints.
