Bagger02
Looking at the STI Edge. I just can't make my mind up on which one to choose. I shoot mostly 9mm now but carry a .40 for CC. I also reload for 9mm and would have to get set up for the .40. I will be shooting steel at the local club and not sure about shooting other matches at this time. Need something to push me over the edge. Thanks for any input. Steve
scribble
I would go with the 40 as you are in major pwr for Lim and Lim-10 usage.
HSMITH
40 is more versatile should you get into competition other than steel, but it is a bit more expensive to shoot. The guys here are all pretty much USPSA nuts and 9mm is only considered for Open or Production, Limited and Limited-10 are dominated by 40. G-ManBart
An Edge in .40 is more likely to be reliable. In 9mm you have to load long and fool around with magazine spacers or get SV mags built by someone like HSmith so that the gun will run. Many folks have a stock Edge in .40 that runs fine with factory spec ammo and standard untuned STI mags and if you ever want to shoot USPSA matches you'll be able to shoot Limited or Limited-10 and make Major which is better for scoring. Coolduckboy
80% of all Edge's sold are in .40 I would go with .40 just because you can load it down for speed steel and load it major for USPSA matchs. i like how soft the minor loads are in .40 compared to standard 9mm ammo. I couldn't use factory .40 ammo in my edge and i had to send the gun back to them because it was jamming but since i got it back from them, haven't had a single hick-up. their customer service is excellent, I would call them personally and talk to either, Don Kimble or Dave Skinner. Both really nice guys and don't mind to talk to people.
RV man
I bought my Eagle in 9mm because I always shot steel or IDPA. I have now started having fun in USPSA matches and the 9mm is a HUGE handicap so I HAD to buy a Trubor to shoot major. The 40 is more versatile and will probably bring more if you ever want to sell it. My 9mm runs with anything I stuff in the mags so function shouldn't be an issue. Just my .02 YMMV Bill

RV man
I seem to be VERY lucky that way. My guns just run and it's okay because I create enough challenges without gun problems. My Trubor 9mm has been the same. Bill
sandankenpo
40 is the way to go, I made the same mistake myself on buying a 9 mm and then I bought a
