Anybody Have A Major Load W/ Longshot?

I got a good deal on 1,000 180 FMJ's from Montana Gold and am wondering if anybody has worked up a load with Hodgdon Longshot. A load for WAP would also be appreciated.

Are you shooting limited or open? Longshot is way to slow for limited. The manuals should have plenty of loads but there are better powder choices. The muzzle blast is going to be bad.

I'm shooting Limited and loading to an OAL of 1.20".

I think most guys are using Titegroup with a load of 4.5 grains or so. I'll probably give that a try but don't have any Titegroup on hand and wanted to load a hundred rounds to use this weekend.

I hate to throw a wet blanket on your load development, but trying to work out a load for 40 this close to the weekend may be counter-productive.

I think I'd try to get to Wal-mart or the local ammo supply and just pick up a few boxes of fatory 40. (I hear that Walmart is starting to carry 100 round val-u-paks in 40. Anybody seen them yet?)

I've got plenty of .40 factory ammo laying around. I was hoping to get a few rounds loaded to try this weekend. Range time for me is hard to come by and I wanted to have a few rounds to run over the club's chronograph, etc.
