hello all,

i know some one on this great forum can help me.

i have a new czts and at the range going through the first 200 rounds of 40 cal the gun was flawless. yesterday at the range after complete cleaning the gun started failing to feed the next round. this happened several times. i took it home and cleaned the mags but has anyone ever experienced this type problem. i have always heard the cz was a good gun with few problems.

thanks all.

is it not cycling?? is the round jamming on the feedramp, is the empty ejecting..

need a little more info as to what is happening or not happening.

when you cleaned..was it only the mags?? did you disassemble or what did you do?? are these factory mags and pads..or do you have ext basepads on them and whose???

is the ammo the same as the initial firing??

when i clean i mean i clean pistol and everything associated. the cz would fire a few rounds and then the bullet would not feed into the chamber. it was stuck in the mag. if i pulled back on the slide (more then once) the bullet would finally break free. any way i have not been to the range since i have cleaned the mags so i am hoping cleaning will do the job. the empty would eject.

Hi czts - the rule to follow with any pistol (other than a Glock) is: if the magazine hits the ground, the magazine MUST be taken fully apart and cleaned - every time. I prefer CZs, but all my handguns get the same rule: once the magazine is dropped in the dirt, it comes apart.

One other thing: CZ uses a thick preservative oil at the factory to coat their guns and magazines. They do this because they have no way of telling how long it will be until the guns they make are actually sold & fired. That oil must be removed prior to use, since it is meant to be a preservative and NOT a lubricant.

Could that have been the problem?

i certainly think you could be correct. when i tore the mags down there was very heavy oil in the mag wells and on the follower. i cleaned them well and i will see what happens when i make it to the range(tomorrow)

Hello czts,

Have you cleared up the problem with your TS Pistol?

I wish to give you an additional info. As others instructed, always make the Mags clean, and oil free. Secondly, always maintain the cleanliness of your extractor. And finally, which is very critical, do not load your ammo to an AOL of above 1.140.

Very High AOL of you ammo will usually scratch the tip of your mags, resulting to misfeed. As I have experience, when my friend lend me some ammo (he's using STI 1911), during competition. It resulted plenty of jams.

Am using CZ IPSC, other than your above problem, the gun is perfectly well for more than 4 years. And almost twice a month of competition.

Happy Safe Shooting!
