Nick S
Does anyone happen to have chrony data for BH Blue Box 69 gr SMK out of a 16" SS 1x7 barrel? I am obtaining very inconsistent velocities (almost 700-800 fps) however suspect it is chrony/operator related rather than ammo related. Thanks in advance. Merlin Orr
IMO 700-800 fps would be very noticeable both to the shoulder and to the ear.......
Nick S
IMO 700-800 fps would be very noticeable both to the shoulder and to the ear....... I agree....hence why I think its a problem with the chrony or me doing something wrong rather than the ammo.
bigbrowndog
I have velocities for BH 68's out of 24" and 18" barrels but thats it. If you want them let me know. Trapr
Merlin Orr
Try getting your reading at around 20'+ away... If your not already that far from your chrony....
Dan Sierpina
A clear blue sky is not a good backround for the chrono either. That's for my ancient Ohler 33. New infrared screens possibly aren't affected.
Nick S
Thank you all for the info. I'm embarrassed to admit I had the chrony 12 ft or so in front of my rifle. I'm using a PRI/MSTN Comp. Trapr if its not too much trouble I would be interested in the data you have for your 18" barrel. Nick
bigbrowndog
BH 68, 18" SS barrel, 2812,2760,2726,2842,2812............2790AVG. They gave me MOA accuracy out to 500, with a 3.5power ACOG. Trapr
