AP-1 Centers

Does Target Barn run the paper with the new black centers too?

Our local match (Circleville, OH) buys from Target Barn. We run paper targets and centers. We run the paper, then up to two centers, before adding a fresh paper for the next shooter (which turns out to be the 4th shooter).

If he had the black paper targets to go with the black centers, then our local Match Director would likely switch with his next order. (though we aren't very high volume)

Let me know what comes of this and I'll make a suggestion to our MD.

I just got 500 replacement centers (black 4" stick-ons) from : North State Packaging, 8833 J Street, Omaha, NE. The cost was $26.00. Works out to a bit over 5 cents each. Phone numbers are: 402-573-1500 and 888-573-1500. That price included shipping! Combined with a CED paster gun for the brown pasters, I can use a cardboard target about 6-7 times before throwing it out.

We still use a fresh target for each shooter in our Approved Matches, but the used targets make for some really cheap practice stuff this way.

For clarification only:

Repair Centers usually encompass the X & 10 ring, and in the past were stapled unto the targets. Repair centers were available in the paper "color" version and the cardboard "color" version of the D-1 targets. Perhaps they exist, but have never seen any AP-1 repair centers of either "color" version.

X- Ring size Centers that I have seen are self adhesive and they are 4" diameter black (AP-1) or brown (D-1).

Repair Centers that include the 10 ring and black X ring that are available in paper color and cardboard color would probably be useful. Anyone for Repair center that includes the 8 ring too? Heck, make it out rubber, so I can stretch it to pick up a 5 from time to time.

I got a terrific deal on brown pasters! I got them from Doug & Bruce in trade for some black one's! The ratio was unbelievable. They said they only use about half dozen brown pasters a year :surprise:

somehow I believe that the above is true.

I saw Bruce at the Shot Show and he mentioned that very thing about how he uses black 4" centers on his targets.

+1 on the North State Packaging for the black 4" stick on centers for the NRA D-1. I have been using them and they work great and you can't beat the price. If you use a credit card they ship immediately and arrive in a few days.

Thanks for the input...ended up (since I'm out) buying them from ULine...$49 per thousand seems to be the cheapest going right now. Plus, they ship quickly...I ordered them yesterday, and UPS is delivering them today.

That price sounds better than the one gm iprod gave you. Possibly there is a quality difference but $2200 sounds a little pricey. :)
