Local match fees

I'm not a member of either club I shoot at so I pay "full price". $15.00 at one which is 4 stages and $20.00 at the other which is usually 4 and every once in a while 5 stages. Neither club charges more for special all classifier matches.

We try to offer discounts to those that help..

If you setup AND RO.. you shoot for free!

Otherwise, $20. (4 - 5 stages)

If keeps all the trained RO's fresh, and nobody gets burned out HAVING to RO every match.

(However, setting up stages in knee deep snow.. that gets OLD fast!)

The USPSA matches at the two of the three local clubs are $10, and one of the clubs is $7. The practice steel matches are $10 and $5, and the two IDPA matches are $10. If we drive over the boarder to OR, the price goes up to $15. Pretty darn cheap and the funny thing about it is that the club that costs the least has some of the best stages!!

for member, $30.00 non- member- 35.00

Holy crap! Somebody paying for their bullets with these matches?

Depends on the area, taxes, and the club. The more built up the area the higher the property taxes. The higher the property taxes the more $$$ clubs need to make to keep the lights on. Also, some of us run clubs at ranges that don't really like USPSA style shooting so we need to make a profit for the club to keep matches going. That said, the Mid-Atlantic section is $20 for members, $25 for non-members and join USPSA and shoot the match for free.

Eric Budd Mid19

At our twice-a-month matches, we charge members (who pay $100/yr for membership) $10 and non-members $15.

Barring unforeseen problems, we always shoot four stages plus a classifier. Generally between 120-150 rounds per match.

Our club has about 20 members and usually has around 8-12 shooters per match.

TGibby nailed it, the Emmett, Idaho USPSA club charges $5 for a monthly steel match and $7 for a monthly USPSA match. We also put on the annual Idaho "Glocks Only" State Championship match for a measley $20 for a nine stage, 260 round match every April. :surprise:

Our highest speed USPSA club charges $30 for their 6 stage match. It's well worth it. Nothing but the best props set up so professionally most probably couldn't even imagine. They bought almost everything full up at the beginning and are still paying it off I imagine.

On the east side of Idaho it's $15 for a good 6 stage match with classifier if you are a member (including associate membership)

and $20 for non. We charge another $5 for a 6 stage special classifier.

We used to hold two matches a month, but quality suffered and people got tired of helping.

We cut that back to one much better match, and have around 40 shooters every time.

What he doesnt say above, is that they give most of the $20/ shooter back to the shooters too as prize money!

In the Mid-Atlantic Section we met several years back and set match fees across the section. We also set the prize schedule while we were at it.

Cost is $20 for a USPSA member, $25 for a non-USPSA member Clubs are allowed to discount, generally for home club member or for workers. Non-USPSA members can join USPSA for $40 and shoot the match for free.

Awards are as follows:

Division Winner: $ 30.00 (5 in division)

Class Winner: $ 20.00 (3 shooters in class)

Second Place: $ 12.00 (8 shooters in class)

Third Place: $ 8.00 (15 shooters in class)

Hope this helps. We found it removed all confusion. You know what to expect when you go out.

One other thing we have done is to sign up for a remote answering system, about $10 a month, probably less. We plug in the match day info, as in, The match is on and has x rounds, or due to weather and range conditions the match is canceled. We share this between two clubs that draw largely the same crowd. Seems to help.

Jim
