Mark K
Somewhere in my wonderings in the BE forum I saw a link to a couple of Blake Miguez shooting limited. WOW, I watch them almost daily for inspiration. But I have not seen anything about him since the 2006 Nationals. Also, how the hell does he control recoil so well? It looks like he is shooting a .22LR conversion. It isn't like he has the arms and hands of a gorilla. I suppose I need to get the Burkette DVD. austinkroe
I heard last year that he was in law school. Speaking from personal experience law school can take up a lot of time.

Zerwas
Blake has been going to Law school for a few years now. It should be interesting to see what happens when he finished his schooling and he can devote more time to the shooting sport (if he is able to). I was squadded with his dad at the 2005 Nationals, and met Blake there. He is a really good guy, and yes he is VERY quick. He's young and strong and that is what allows him to help control recoil in his pistol.
AikiDale
Also, how the hell does he control recoil so well? Mark Perhaps he does not know recoil is supposed to be a problem.

Said now he is going to have the time to practice and wants to start attending more matches. So you might see more of him soon.

Zerwas
Doesn't he have a thing about perfect doubles...on swingers? Nobody is perfect. There are many more examples of that sort of thing from many other GM's in this sport. I believe him to be an honest person. He made a mistake as many other GM's would perhaps do in the same situation. Look at the stage from the 2007 Limited nationals called "Mr Stronghand" That stage messed up several top shooters. That was a bunch of crap too, but you don't see many people condemning those guys. It's not right, but it is what it is.

Micah
Also, how the hell does he control recoil so well? It looks like he is shooting a .22LR conversion. It isn't like he has the arms and hands of a gorilla. Obviously Jake is correct in saying that technique plays a large role. Something else that I noticed is that he seems to have a muscular upper body. I've been hitting the weights pretty hard during the winter months and can tell a difference in the amount of control that I have over the gun. Lee King
I had the pleasure of squadding with him at last year's Miss. Classic. His gun moved so little I thought "no way he's making major". When he got to the cron he came in at 195 He shot the Florida Open this year.

Mark K
I love how I got good answers then and can even get answers a year later. Then I had been shooting 4 months, now a year later (and especially after a weekend with Max and Travis, I understand. I understand. I also have seen video of myself, and see how what you see through the sights does not look nearly as bad to the outside observer. Thanks for bumping it up though.
