eo12
hello. well im fairly new to reloading, and this site has been a great help in getting me to get started. heres the problem, i just loaded 150 rounds and all of the sudden it appears that after the powder charging station it the case mouth is becoming too big for the bullet (55g spbt) and when bullet seating, it is pushed farther down than it should be. any help is greatly appreciated. thank you
dillon
How much further is it being seated? Depending on variations in the ogive(curved sides) of the bullet, seating depth can vary up to .001"-.015" in rifle rounds. Be sure that you are operating the machine uniformly,ie:sizing in station 1, dropping powder in station 2, etc. You will get a .005"-.010" variation depending on whether or not a fired case is being sized at station 1. it is extremely unlikely that the powder drop has anything to do with the variation you are encountering.
