jbullgpd
So I know the 21 can handle the +P ammo but do I need to change my recoil spring? This is on my duty gun and it currently has the stock spring in it, 17lb I believe. Edited February 19, 2008 by jbullgpd
et45
Unless the recoil bothers you leave it alone. The large frame Glocks were designed to take the recoil of full power 10mm loads so a Plus-P .45 should be no problem.I think the large frame Glocks have less felt recoil than the others.OPMMV. Harmon
stock is fine, a heavier spring makes the hotter ammo more difficult to shoot. Harmon
jbullgpd
sounds like a plan, it didnt bother me shooting it with stock spring just didnt know if reliability wise if it was ok. sounds like stock is good. I had assumed so but wanted to make sure. Thanks.
A59709
If it is your duty gun........you better check w/ your firearms instructor first. I would also check your Dept policy and procedure, I wouldn't won't to testify in court on that one!!! B safe and trust no one on the street!! (firearms instructor) before changing to any other ammo. We have ammo assigned to us. No deviation allowed. Period. Scott
jbullgpd
It is duty ammo, issued by PD. We are given the option to carry +P or not. some of the guns arent rated for it so they don't carry it. for those of us whose guns can handle it, we are.
