Sylivia Browne Called the Election

For what it's worth, on a recent Montel Williams show the psychic Sylvia Browne made a prediction about this year's election:

she said it was going to be Obama as our next president.

She said that he and Hillary would be fighting it out for a while, but by next summer, Hillary would be history. She also said he would win the election. She didn't predict who would be the GOP nomination.

Some interesting points:

1) She made the rpediction about a month ago when Hillary was still WAYYY out front and looked like a slam dunk.

2) Back in 2004, Sylvia predicted Kerry would get the nomination when Dean was WAYYY out front and appeared to be the one who would get nominated.

3) In 2004 she also accurately predicted Kerry would lose.

It will be inetersting to see if she gets it right again this time.

If she is so good, why doesn't she conjur up some winning lottery numbers for herself then?

STRAINING REALLY HARD TO NOT SAY SOMETHING POLITCAL....ARGHHH .... ARGHHH

I'll just leave it at this then:

:surprise:

I assume she would not need to win the lottery if she had a dollar for everytime somebody asked her that....

I don't know, but the psychics say it can't be controlled that way.

The point is: she made these predictions publicly, so she sets herself up for ridicule if they are wrong. And, in both cases, she chose the eprson who was the clear underdog at the time. Time will tell if she is right again.

 I am getting nervous already!
Well, if it is true that psychics can see major events of the future with even low accuracy, it follows that we (for the most part) simply follow the path laid out before us while having some degree of freedom as to minor deviations in our general progress.

So, getting nervous won't help..... just go with the flow.

Great Polls and wingnuts picking which wingnut wins. God helps us all....where did i bury the guns last time???

It is kind of interesting to see if there are people who actually do make predictions that come true at better than random chance regularity.

Sylvia's prediction looks good at this point: Obama made a strong showing last night and has just about as many delegates as Hillary at this point. Considering how far ahead she was even a month ago, it looks like his star is rising and hers is going out. Sylvia said by summer Hillary would be history, time will tell if that happens. Kind of looks like it is headed that way right now.

Then again, I hear that the sports books lost a lot of cash on the Giants/Patriots game ... lots of people predicted the longshot there too!

Yeah, and I was one of them. What really surprised me was that the Pats were such a big favorite. I got a much clearer view of the situation because I am not a big football fan anymore, and didn't start watching until late in the season.

At that point, the mighty Pats best football of this season was behind them and they were narrowly avoiding losses to teams that were SUPPOSEDLY no match for them.....

And, the Giants simply started playing the best football being played in the post season and that's why they won.

It is surprising how few people realize that the season records don't mean jack coming into the playoffs, but it's even more surprising when the pro sports books get duped this badly on a betting line.

Note: No politics. If you want to talk predictions...please pick a different subject.

On that note, Sylvia also says that the earth is only going to last maybe 50 - 75 years longer. She also says that spiritual beliefs on earth will become so strong that many more people will be able to see spirits as the psychics do.

Sportsbooks are not in the business of losing money. They simply line up winners with losers and take their percentage for finding a match.
