dirtypool40
Yeah, I know it's not a polished hard chromed open gun, but it IS what I'm carryin' Vintage, reasonably scarce 5" Light Weight SA Mil Spec. Very clean lines and markings. I have plans for it, but for now, it runs, shoots to point of aim and carries like a LW Commander.
dirtypool40
Right now it's just the before pics, but I have visions of a gorgeous carry gun. I'm still of the opinion that the older SA MILSPECs are the ultimate base gun for high end build ups.
HSMITH
Love 'em here too. I have built 15+ LW 5" 1911's, the only one I still have is a P14 alloy. Every time I build one someone wants it more than it more than I do LOL. Done right I don't know of anything I would rather carry.

revchuck
If it were mine, it'd get a new grip safety, a long trigger, and about a 4 lb. trigger pull, and that's it. This is a classic case of not fixing something that ain't broke.
Radical Precision Designs
Wow. that looks like a pile <_< Well ... Now that I have it on my hands ... and looking at DP's "wish list", I can close my eyes and visualize the finished "thing" ... Hmmm !!! ( ... looks like a "Signature" DP gun !!! )
Matt Cheely
Work your magic Venry or I shall have to heckle DP the next time I see him.
J-Ho
Does it go BANG when you want it to? Does it not go BANG when you don't want it to? If you answered yes then it sounds like a great carry gun. Everything else is gravy.
dirtypool40
( ... looks like a "Signature" DP gun !!! ) It's pretty much the "standard" package I like on skinnies. It may look like a pile in the pics, but this is the straightest factory gun I have every seen, every line and marking is CRISP. It should be GORGEOUS once it's finished and IONBONDED.
