Scout454
The first shirt! Note: It doesn't have the slogan (Joe's too fast for me); The color (a light gray) is the current "stock" color; This is a "T" shirt. Polo's will have a full collar and a zip. Eta: The final product will have the logo lowered enough to allow "1911 Elitist" above it. Edited August 5, 2008 by Scout454

JKSNIPER
My son shooting his new Kimber Single Stack 1911 .45 S.I.S. model weapon. I'm goign to get him to register here too. In the background is his friend from the local Sheriff's office shooting his (gasp) 9mm Grock. Sorry I'm not proficient enough with the confuser to crop out the Grock. Nice shooting weapon. Has a good trigger pull. Naturally I had to get some trigger time with it as well. Shot some Federal 230 FMJ rounds. Recoil was ok but a noticable lack of torque that you would normally find in "stock" 1911s. Have Some (500 rds) Black Hills 200 Gr Semi Wadcutter match on the way. That should give us enough brass to realod for a little while before we have to buy more brass or more ammo. Stopped in the local gunshop here today and picked up some large pistol primers (CCI) and some Clays powder. Have a few (100) bullets (Hornady 200 gr XTP) Will order the Lyman dies and other stuff to get going tomorrow. Using the free press we got for now but hes already started asking about presses. I see a Dillon 550 or 650 in the future..... JK Edited August 7, 2008 by JKSNIPER

JKSNIPER
Sorry to all I offended with the word "stock". I SHOULD have said the Govt model .45 I used in the service and had purchased many years ago that was nothing special. No fancy stuff added or subtracted just out of the box rattling around functional .45 shooting 230 fmj surplus rounds. I meant no disrespect to the hallowed .45 JK

JKSNIPER
OK I get ya. Hey it shoots NICE! We shot it and cleaned it good today and gave it a liberal application of Brian's Slide Glide and WOW! A VERY NOTICABLE difference in cycling the slide by hand. It feels MUCH smoother. I'm tempted to "steal" it while hes on duty at the pct and shoot it some more with the slide glide to see how it feels now. If "the real boss" was not around it would be a done deal. Scout454
At this point, yes. There may be an addition charge for the extra name (but I doubt it). I will place the order as soon as I confirm with Joe and have everyone's information. So far I have info from 5 Forum members and there were at least 16 on the original list. Vagus
Saving this thread from the second page... I like the shirts alright, but the line "getting back to where it all began" - Wouldn't a true snob quip " when did I ever leave?" :smug: I've only ever shot a single stack Alright- I have fired other pistols before, but not in competition. And I swear that I didn't enjoy it.
zhunter
The "Getting back to where it all began" was about USPSA, I thought it was appropriate.
