steel1212
My USPSA membership has been expired for a while. I've got all Xs for my classifications. I was A-64298. I renewed recently and paid for a three year membership. I got my new membership card and my new member number is TY-64298. I knew that would change. But what seems weird to me is that all my classifications on the new card are X. Since I paid, they should be back at Ds and Us. I guess they'll change at next month's update and USPSA will send me another card? When I try to log on to the USPSA website, it tells me "User TY64298 does not exist," but I can still log in as A64298. If I go to a match, which number should I sign in under? Does it matter? Is this normal? [No doubt some will think this is posted in the wrong forum. This IS the most comprehensive thread in the benoverse. It is germane because I do not post members with X or U as their SS classification in the monthly updates. That's why my name has been missing from the list lately. And I thought it was somewhat humorous too.] If you just did it this week, you'll probably have to wait until the next update before it goes into effect. Cal Val and ask her. Steve J
Most of my internet posting this morning (on facebook) has been trying to educate the ignorant about 1911s, "single stacks", and single stack matches. The owners of non-1911 single-column magazine guns more often than not have no understanding of the history of the term "single stack". The euphemism should never have supplanted 1911. It should never have been used without it. We should have the 1911 Single Stack Classic and the 1911 Single Stack Nationals, and the 1911 Single Stack Division. justaute
My CV has yet to provide the necessary pre-requisite to qualify as 1911 Single Stack Elitist Club member; I have yet to shoot a Single Stack match, but will do so in the not-too-distant future. I do own a 9mm ( ) 1911 single stack, non-light-railed from Fusion, with some tender loving by Dave Severns at Severns Custom. Although I am a transplanted-Texan, I did grow up in Ogden, Utah, the hometown of the venerable John M. Browning. justaute
I'm waist-deep in shooting production. Just started this year and am trying to get pretty decent quickly -- need to find time to practice. I shoot a CZ Shadow, which as y'all know is a quasi-offspring of Browning Hi-power. None of that plasticware here. Nice photo of an interesting piece of history...... jarozzy
I would like to put my application in please. USPSA # A69366. I am a 27 year old new shooter, please note that being in the younger generation the pull for a 2011 wide body gun in very strong. But i decided to buck my generational norm and go with a Single Stack. Now this is not because i had a 1911 SS before i shot my first match, it is because 1911 SS just rocks . I shot my first match with a borrowed glock in production, and shot my second match with a borrowed STI Trojan. I am still unclassified but i am working on it, i should be in the C range. I like SS so much that the other day i traded a browning citori shotgun for a new STI USPSA Single Stack. This will make it so i have two 1911s and i am in it for the long run. Here is my application pics. Please excuse the bad pics as i took them with my iphone and did not take them with this application in mind, i took them because I LOVE my 1911 . Hopfully better pics will come when i get my second 1911 in a few days. Edited July 28, 2011 by jarozzy

jarozzy
Unfortunately it is .40 . I did not see any rules about caliber in the original bylaws on the first post, i chose .40 because of price.
