Scandium frame?

Recommended Posts

Need a little help guys. Has any of you used a scandium frame Smith and Wesson for high volume use? Do they hold up well? Any conversions of the 8 shot 357 to 38 super? Any recommendations on a gun smith to do they work? Thanks Bill

The general consensus is that they wear much, much faster than a steel framed revolver. I've got a S&W 1911sc that I love, but I'd never use it for matches. Weight is your friend in speed shooting.

I had an old 8 shot 38 special and purchased a Nowlin 38 super reamer and recut my cylinder. Individually the round fit perfectly but when I put them in the moonclip,(yea for 38 supers) it does not always go all the way in. I have to play around a little to see what my problem is.
