bladewurk
I'm trying to find a way to dial down the gas on my 18 inch Mid Gas AR with a Larue 13.2 HG.The gas Block is Larue and seems my only option is to change the handguard? Randall @AR15Barrels says the wall thickness on the Larue Block is too thin for a set screw to adjust gas. I don't think any other GB will fit under.... kurtm
J.P. Enterprises makes a very slim line adjustable gas block, not the big picatiny thing you are used to. It is all steel and very short! give them a try! KurtM
Philip Dedmon
Here's the model #, JPGS-5. I seen one of these, really nice. JP has changed the design a little. This unit is a clamp design and is held on by 3 allen head bolts. I think you will like it.
Scout454
I just converted my 16" gun to the JP low profile gas block/rifle length hand guard. It works just as well as the rail block and easily hides under a V-Tac hand guard.
00bullitt
MSTN also sells the ultra low profile PRI adjustable in SS and black.
Wakal
The PRI fits under a LaRue handguard with a little bit of work. While the gas block will fit inside the handguard, when you tighten the handguard on the upper the gas block's "shelf" (the bit with the set screw) hits the side. I enlarged one of the holes in the handguard to clear it...no problem at all. PRI's little adjustable gas block is very nice...much thicker in the set screw area than anyone else's, and a lot lighter than...everyone else's...and steel. Did I mention steel? kurtm
Maybe you did mention steel or maybe you didn't mention steel, BUT I know I did.
