RAZZ
My new 6" STI Eagle. I dropped a Brazos hammer / sear in it, and figured out how to use an old Bridgeport sitting next door to take some weight out of the slide. I probably should have practiced on something other than the gun first, but it turned out pretty good. I don't know that I'm sold on the 6" thing yet, but I just had to try it. JVeltri
Steve-What you really want is a picture of your own gun here. Ok. I'll oblige. Yours is the 6" gun on the left. The one on the right is a 5" gun. Took this picture right after it came back from the engraver, just before it was shipped to you. You should receive it by tomorrow. It would have been today, but today is a "holiday". You are also getting the two bags that say "Radical Precision" with it. Enjoy it, and have fun with it. Venry, Your KILLING me!! Come on clock!!! Tick Tick Tick Tick! Sure looks beautiful!!

sfinney
Here is my newly minted 6" STI..... I won a Briley Barrel Bushing at the TX State Limited this year, so had to build a new gun to use it on. (thanks Sean!) Forum member Aircooled6racer did the slide cuts and milling, and I sent all the parts off to Mike Johnson at Shooting Specialties to put it all together. Not only did Mike do a great job fitting it all together, it was pretty quick as well. Can't say enough about Mike and his work. STI slide, frame, rear sight; Dawson front sight, magwell, firing pin; Briley bushing, guide rod, recoil plug; Schuemann classic barrel; Koenig hammer/EGW sear; Brown safeties, etc. I'll get it ceramic coated (or maybe Ionbond), after putting a few more rounds through it. And some kind of grip enhancement. I like it very much so far! Edited October 25, 2010 by sfinney
Aircooled6racer
Hello: I told you it would make one fine looking pistol when it was finished I think you will like the way it handles with that light slide and bushing barrel. Remember the 12.5lb ISMI recoil spring. Let us know how it shoots and how you like it. I vote for black slide and chromed frame. Thanks, Eric

sfinney
I put a 12 pound Sprinco spring in it (just the spring). I usually use the 12.5 ISMI ones but wanted to try a Sprinco one out. I also need to shorten the guide rod slightly, its fit correctly to the frame and barrel at the head, but is just a little to long. And I'm leaning towards all black except for the barrel, recoil plug, bushing, trigger, grip screws, and hammer. Sarge
My 6" Cheely... Well, the frame anyway. It goes out to Matt this morning. I'm getting my frame next week to send to Matt as well. The plan is for him to bring it down to the Ohio match. I'm thinking hard about a 6" but still not sure since it will be my first STI platform gun. Any thoughts? CMV
I have a 5" Bedell and love it. I have not shot a 6" but figured, what the heck. I like the idea of an extra inch of sight radius in a gun lighter than what I have now. If you are going to be that far out on delivery, he is supposed to have my new gun finished by the end of the year. If he hasn't started building yours by then, I'd be happy to meet you at MRPC and you can shoot the snot outta both to help you decide.
sfinney
Ok, here it is in Cerakote Black. Also a homemade mild single undercut and sand grit scott type grip job. Done a hundred or so draws from kydex, it seems to be holding up ok so far. At least it won't rust now Edited November 5, 2010 by sfinney
Aircooled6racer
Shaun: That looks great in black How is it shooting for you? I shot my 2 6" pistols today. I forgot how much fun they are to shoot. Thanks, Eric
