He says it works... but knowing the Optimas reputation I'm hesitant to buy a slide cut for it. Anybody know if Tasco will be carrying the Optima again and selling it for $99? George Posted April 18, 2003 Share Posted April 18, 2003 To the best of my knowledge, Tasco will not be handling the Optima anymore (it was made for Tasco by FirePoint in the UK anyway). New versions are now sold as the J-Point through JP Enterprises @ http://www.jp-rifles.com/ I have two Optima's, and one J-Point. They are virtually identical. The J-Points are just supposed to be more robust than the original Optima 2000. The J-Point & the FirePoint will directly replace the Optima in a frame cut (the "Docter type sight is not an exact fit). Going price @ JP is $239.95 for the J-Point.
