Mike Morcillo
Anybody have a recipe for a 125gr PF load using 155gr Moly Coated Precison bullets with Titegroup? OAL is 1.200. I'd guess it's about 3.9grs, but need some input. Any help appreciated.
Merlin Orr
Ahhhh... 4.2 / 4.3 gave me 150+ pf out of my Fat Free 6" gun... I would guess 3.9 would be more than 125.
bigbrowndog
4.2 gr. is what I use for my 200gr bullets, then I just drop in 155's for an instant steel load, it works out to about 130pf, in my 5". its plenty soft and makes an excellent Steel Challenge load. Aircooled6racer
Hello: Try 3.7 Tite Group,Winchester primers and a OAL 1.140. That will give you 125 or so depending on temp. Hope this helps. Thanks, Eric

Thanks, Eric How much does temp affect titegroup loads? I'm hearing it is dramatic. I chronoed a 161 pf load the other day in 50 to 55 degree weather. What is your guess it will be if the temp is around 90?
Joe4d
Tightgroup is a low volume powder, combine that with a light bullet and long OAL your gonna get inconsitent velocities and resulting poor accuracy. Or at least I did when I tried it. YMMV .
Harmon
the low pressure will cause it to be dirty Harmon
scheirere
Out of my glock 35 on a warm day (~70F): 3.9gr of tightgroup, Win small pistol primer, 1.125" OAL resulted in a 132 PF. Definitely a temp sensitive powder. at least in my experience.
