frankge
my kid uses an 870 junior model with a mag extension in 3-gun and he is as competative as the 12. He's 14 now been shooting it since 12. Just has to grow a bit to move up... or stay right there
Ten-X
Given the multitude of different ruling structures, are 20 Ga non-competitive with 12 due to rules? I'm new to 3 Gun but have shot a lot of clays, rifles and pistols separately. I'd rather have a 20 Ga than another 12 to take guests out for sporting clays but don't want to handicap myself too much in the occasional 3 Gun match. BrianATL
I have been using a Benelli M1 20 worked over by Triangle shooting no issues other than poor operator at times.
Ten-X
So none of the ruling bodies have any 12 Ga minimum rule established. Heavy Metal requires 12 Ga and pump but not the limited or open classes?
PA452
Any new updates to this? I see this thread has been moving off and on for many years now. I'm thinking hard about moving to a 20 gauge for all the reasons already stated throughout this thread. The only remaining question is, is the game changing to where the 20 is at a disadvantage?
