DougCarden
I ordered some "unamed Poly/Moly bullets" and loaded them up for steel loads. I used VV320 and W 231 and only ran them at around 1050fps. I noticed that after around 200rds my 2 port comp was leaded up something fierce, something I have never seen with using Hardcast lead, even loading Titegroup. I was really excited about using these types of bullets due to cost and reduced smoke, which they did do over conventional lead, but I shoot a lot, and I am not going to spend the time to strip out the comp everytime I shoot.... I of course belled the brass so I didnt shave the coating off the bullet, and the powders were slow enough to not be hard on the coatings, and the velocity was lower as well. Thanks for any input or suggestions.....now to go clean the comp..... DougC
